John 12

Today we read John 12. This chapter begins with Jesus entering Jerusalem, knowing that He will soon be betrayed and crucified. Yet He goes to the cross voluntarily, to take on the sins of the world. Jesus knew about you and loved you even before the creation of the world, and has given you His Holy Spirit to believe in Him!

John 11

Today we read John 11. Jesus famously raises Lazarus from the dead. One of the most important verses in this chapter are verses 25-26, which it would be good to memorize. Jesus says: “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” Thank you, Jesus!

John 10

Today we read John 10. In verse 3, our Lord tells you that He calls you by name. Since before the creation of the world, He has known that He would someday create you and call you. This He has already done. How wonderful!

John 9

Today we read John 9. In verse 5, Jesus again explains that He is the light of the world. Praise God that His light is eternal–and shines even in the darkest places!
